Milan Design Week 2019

Andrea Steidl graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a degree in Industrial Design and began his career immediately at Patricia Urquiola’s studio. He went on to become Creative Manager and remained with the firm until 2016. At the same time, in academic circles he started working both as an assistant professor at the Politecnico di Milano and as a course supervisor at Domus Academy and Scuola Politecnica di Design. In 2016, he founded the /àr o/ Studio with Raquel Pacchini. They work for a range of companies in the fields of art direction, graphic design, installations and product design. Using a creative process based on cultural and strategic research, the firm transforms the ideas and needs of clients into value systems in order to give rise to a fresh perspective of the brand based on an integrated system of products, graphics and marketing.

At Superstudio Più in via Tortona our chairs will be part of the installation Materica: The Beautiful Side Of Design. A space within a multisensory house, that unites brands that have made aesthetics, functionality and sartorial attention to detail their strengths: a party of shapes, textures and nuances in which Cantarutti is perfectly at ease. The project, conceived by Marie Claire Maison and Material ConneXion Italia, was curated by the Milan-based architecture studio /àr-o/, founded by Raquel Pacchini and Andrea Steidl, who also designed our new Cori lounge.
